Your caterpillar kit will include a plastic rearing container, two caterpillars, cut milkweed that must be refrigerated to last to adulthood (food), and a care guide.
Caterpillars will eat for 7-10 days before pupating into a chrysalis. Chrysalises require no care for 10-14 days before the butterfly emerges. The butterfly will need to remain in the container for 4-6 hours for its wings to dry before being able to fly.
