Feed your Texas Monarchs with clean Texas native milkweed!
This milkweed food packet will include 40g of fresh cut milkweed to be used as food for one caterpillar from egg to caterpillar or for 2-3 caterpillars that are in the last stage (5th instar). This can also be purchased as emergency milkweed if you find yourself short.
 
I harvest "Green Milkweed" (Asclepias Viridis) on a daily basis.
All harvested milkweed is washed free from dirt, insects, etc before being disinfected to reduce pathogens and parasites. This eliminates the risk exposure to the OE parasite and reduces the chance that your caterpillars get sick from pathogens.
 
After disinfecting, the milkweed is air dried, cut, weighed, packaged, and stored in the refrigerator.

This bag must be kept refrigerated and can stay viable as food for about a month if kept around 36F.
