DFW Butterfly Release offers convenient butterfly release kits so you can create a magical moment without the cost of our full-service package.
Butterflies in this package come in individual release envelopes which can be handed out to guests and released or placed in a mass release box. Mass release boxes are available for an extra fee.
We have Monarch butterfly release and Painted Lady butterfly releases available. Monarch butterfly release packages are available from May through the end of October. Painted Lady butterfly release packages are available year round. The temperature must be above 65F for your butterfly release to be successful.

PAINTED LADY BUTTERFLY RELEASES - DIY KITS
Painted Lady butterflies are a great alternative to Monarch butterfly releases. Painted Ladies are more hardy than Monarchs and can be released year round, weather permitting. At around 2.5 to 3 inches in size they are smaller than the 4 inch Monarchs but they are also less expensive due to their size. This means you will get more butterflies per release, creating a beautiful lasting memory.
Painted lady butterflies will often perch on your hand or other people during release, making for some great photo opportunities.

MONARCH BUTTERFLY RELEASES - DIY KITS
Monarch butterfly releases are one of the most beautiful releases you can get. Their large size and vibrant color make any Monarch butterfly release an iconic moment.
Monarch butterflies will tend to fly up and outward upon releases. On cooler days they may hang round on nearby people until warmed up to fly away.
Due to their migratory behavior, Monarch butterfly releases are only available from May through the end of October.
These butterflies will come in individual envelopes. The option for a mass release box is available for an extra fee.
